So November is in full bloom. The leaves are all off the
trees and winter is coming. It is time
to get out your parkas, boots and touks. I am leaving Velocity tech solutions
on the 15th and starting my new job at Loparex on the 18th.
I am looking forward to the new job as it is so close to home and will
offer new learning experiences. I will no longer be commuting
over an hour each way. I will only drive fifteen minutes. I am moving
from sales to maintenance. It is a nervous time but I am looking forward
to the new challenge. So I will be saying goodbye to my co-workers at
velocity and they will be missed. Then I get say hello to the new.

Marty's Mumblings for October
Well it is now October the leaves are changing and it is
trying to cool off but summer still will not let go. We are getting some well
need rain early hopefully we can get enough to overcome the drought. This is my
favorite time of the year. The weather is changing. It is not too hot. School is back in session and the kids are in
the fall sports mode. Homecoming is happening and football, tennis, Cross
Country and golf are full swing. There is the trip to the apple orchard to get
fresh apples and the warm sunshine through the car window while driving there.
The night chill can be taken care of with a sweatshirt or light jacket. There
are the bonfires to enjoy with family and friends.
Something that is new to our family is the Marching Band Competition.
Last year my son was in marching band and this year it is my daughter. I cannot
believe the fun you can have watching high school kids pouring their hearts
into a marching competition. The music is wonderful and shows are always done
way too soon. The marching band season goes by fast also. It seems that is all
just a breeze. Busy for every weekend for a month then it is all over.
Soon the ghosts, ghouls, witches and goblins will be out.
Then we can look forward to the first blanket of fresh snow. It will be time to
break out the winter coats and the turkey rosters. Until next time enjoy life
to its fullest.

Marty's Mumblings Sept Oct 2013
So the Minnesota state fair is over and school is back in
session. We have been dry since July and hoping for rain. Wild hockey training
camp starts this week and the Minnesota Twins season is winding down. I almost
forgot about football. The Vikings are off to their normal start 0 for life! My favorite season of the year starts soon. I
love the Fall. The changing of the colors and the temperature is just right.
The nights are perfect to enjoy a campfire.
Until next month enjoy

Marty's Mumblings April-May
Hello from the beautiful North Country. We are enjoying the
start of the best season of the year Baseball Season! But, unfortunately, this
also means the dreaded construction season is also starting. Soon we will be
getting ready for the lake, the golf course, and listening to the ball game on
the radio of course.

Marty's Mumblings for February-March
Finally, Spring training has started. The pitchers and
catchers have reported along with the position players. The grand game of
Baseball is just around the corner. Now is the time to remember the greats like
Harmon Killebrew, Rod Crew. Tony Oliva, Bert Blyleven, Mudcat Grant, Jim Kaat…
Ok, ok you may think differently but I am a Minnesota Twins
fan! Yes, we have not had the best seasons lately but that will turn around
this year. The ballpark is one of the best in the majors and the Twins are in
the third season playing outside just like baseball should be. We signed some
pitchers in the off-season. Let’s play ball.
I can smell the
grills with hamburgers and hotdogs already. What a great time of the year. We
are getting ready for our shorts and sunglasses.

Marty's Mumblings from Dec- Jan 2013
The snow is falling in full force now. What a wonderful time
of the year. No grass to cut, no bugs and no leaves to rake. People are getting
ready for the Holidays by putting up their lights. What else can you ask for?
Warm weather, who needs that when you have parkas, tuques, choppers, and boots?
